About

Founded in 2017, Category V Brass is Columbia, SC Area brass quintet. We are members of the Southeastern US Symphonies. We formed the group with a focus on performing repertoire that captivates audiences with familiar and pleasing tunes.

The name Category V originated from one of our early rehearsals that occurred on the weekend as Hurricane Irma (Category 5 hurricane) was predicted to come through SC.
